Joysticks (1983, 1hr 27min)
Directed by Greydon Clark
Filmed in just 13 days on a $300,000 budget, Joysticks was the result of director Greydon Clark taking note of the long lines outside video arcades in a post-Porky’s world. The film combines teens, video games, sex, and rock and roll. The theme song by Legion includes the lyrics “Totally awesome video games!” and “Playing with my joystick,” to paint a picture of the film's tone.
The story revolves around a greedy businessman and his bumbling nephews who try to shut down the town's beloved video arcade. Its employees and loyal gamers band together to save it.

Psychedelic Animation Starter Pack
Eternal Family Starter Packs are designed as jumping-off points for those who aren't quite sure where to begin. Each hand-picked pack distills a specific genre, movement, or style of filmmaking down to five carefully chosen films.
The Psychedelic Animation Starter Pack showcases five surreal and supremely colorful animated trips from Danish, Soviet, Armenian, and Hungarian masters of the ’70s and ’80s.
The Singing Ringing Tree (1957, 1hr 11min)
Directed by Francesco Stefani
Based on an East German fairytale, the film features fantastical sets, practical effects, and deliberately artificial elements. The BBC later adapted it into a 3-part miniseries, adding an English voiceover to the soundtrack. Beloved by German and English audiences, its fever-dream quality earned the series 20th place in a 2004 UK poll of the spookiest TV shows ever. It is also considered one of the best fairytale productions in East German film history.
