Officially Nasty
In early 1980s Britain, a wave of unrated horror tapes hit living rooms and were quickly swept up in a moral panic. They were ultimately codified into a now-infamous list of 72 “Video Nasties.” This collection brings together a selection of those once-forbidden titles which have since survived seizure and censorship, less a threat now and more a time capsule of a moment when video stores were new and deemed dangerous.
