ETERNAL COLLECTIONS
Year of the Horse
The galloping horse is one of the first subjects of cinema. In 1878 Eadweard Muybridge's "The Horse in Motion" became a major element in the understanding of the persistence of vision (how many frames it takes for the eye to see a continuous image.) These studies became the groundwork for stop motion and cel animation. To celebrate Lunar New Year - Year of the Horse - we compiled these horse-centric animated works. Enjoy!
